The Mantis
in Once Upon a Time...

Mantis are a big and strong race, paired with fast reflexes and natural high armor class, because of their tough exo-skeleton. They have very high accuracy and coordination and make fearsome warriors, though being hit at the wrong spot can cause severe damage. They are good climbers and can camouflage themselves to near invisibility in forests and jungle terrains.

Mantis live in colonies and have a highly developed hive-mind - that is, they can sense each others presence over long distances, and if they fight in the same group, they can wreak havoc by coordinating their attacks. With two pair of legs they can travel extremely fast, though if overloaded, their speed sinks drastically.
